TWO TREES POITÍN is a small batch Irish Poitín crafted using traditional and time-cherished methods.
Poitín Ireland’s national white spirit can be distilled from grain, potatoes or molasses. It is typically unaged but aged poitíns do and have always existed. In 1661 AD the production, marketing & sale of Irish poitín was banned in Ireland on account of the inability of the authorities to collect duty taxes from the huge number of small poitín producers scattered around rural Ireland. Illicit poitín production continued until the ban was lifted in 1997.
Two Trees Irish Poitín is produced only from wheat & quadruple distilled in pot stills only.
